2020 FACE MASK DESIGN

8/12/2020

I am happy to be able to participate in Convocatoria Virtual Internacional Intervened Face Masks Design organized by The Centro Argentino de Arte Textil (Argentine Textile Arts Centre) or CAAT. This is an art call grouping all artists from Argentina and overseas interested in expressing Face Masks design using the textile discipline and media or other art disciplines during Covid-19 crisis. I was able to combine calligraphic art elements together with my needle work and came up with my face mask design.

Thank you CAAT and all the collaborators who made this beautiful project possible.

"IN SEARCH OF HIDDEN MEANING" EXHIBITION 2018

3/14/2018

Once again, I am really happy and honoured that my calligraphic art work has been selected for "In search of Hidden Meaning" Exhibition organized by Calligraphies In Conversation (C in C) core team (Ziya Art Center and Raeshma Razvi of Silkworm Media). The artwork can now be seen on C in C  online gallery (www.calligraphies.org/hidden-meaning-exhibition) along with other incredible works of Mr. Arash Shirinbab, Mr. Majid Alyousef, Ms. Chris Paschke, Ms. Kazuko Tanzawa, Ms. Sherrie Lovler & and the legendary Mr. William Kemp, etc.

The title of my work is called "Immortality" .
This calligraphic artwork is inspired by Alice Meynell's poem "Christ in the Universe".

Alice Meynell had shown her tenderness & sensitivity from her spontaneous natural feminine charm throughout this poem. The artwork, using Onciale (uncial) hand to write the poem, intends to translate Alice Meynell's spiritual & hidden emotions towards her faith and her love to God into a visual, solid intellectual form. The hand lettering and the abstract background of the artwork also strive to interpret the intellectual and immortal qualities of the poem.
